Career recap
Patrick Lemarié has been the official test driver for British American Racing's Formula One effort the last four years, but hasn't competed regularly since the 2001 American LeMans Series. He and co-driver Stefan Johansson teammed to capture the sports car race at Czechoslovakia that year.

A veteran of American and European Le Mans, Formula 3000, Formula 3, Formula Ford and Formula Renault, Lemarié also raced in North America in the 1993-94 Toyota Atlantic championship.

Patrick Lemarie will make his CART debut in 2003.

2003 outlook
The 33-year-old Frenchman's experience should come in handy since PK Racing will have never turned a wheel until CART's spring training in early February.

He'll have a new Lola chassis and the same Ford/Cosworth engine as everyone else, but 2003 figures to be more about learning than overall performance for Lemarie and his team.
