Prost looking for wealthy sponsor
Reuters

PARIS -- Alain Prost, whose Formula One team went into receivership last week, said he would be very proud if Prost Grand Prix managed to make it to next season's start in Australia in March.

"I'm going through a really dreadful time at a personal level. It's awful, I spend my time working including weekends, unable to take holidays," the four-time world champion said on French television.

Prost Grand Prix will be monitored for six months by a French court because of debts estimated at $30 million.

Prost is still hoping he can find a wealthy sponsor to save the team, which was launched in 1997.

"In 1983 and 1984, press reports said that I would never be world champion so I went through hard times as a driver," he said. "But this is worse."

Asked about his chances of being at the world championship start in Melbourne on March 3, he said; "I would be personally very proud if we made it."
