2001 Recap
The Good: Despite a slow car, Fisichella never gave up and made his teammate, Jenson Button, look slow time and time again.

Season Highlight: Fisichella raced from sixth to third at Belgium, his only podium finish of the season. Aerodynamic improvements to his Benetton provided a much quicker car. Fisichella proved that by challenging for the lead at times.

The Bad: The Benetton product was not up to par for much of the season. Fisichella failed to crack the top-10 of the starting grid until the seventh race of the season, at Monaco. By season's end, he only posted three top-10 starting efforts.

Season Lowlight: During a three-race stretch (Austria, Monaco and Canada), Fisichella failed to finish a single event.

Giancarlo Fisichella
After a strong year with Benetton, Giancarlo Fisichella will move to Jordan for next season.

Key Stat: Fisichella found himself in a big hole early in the year after failing to finish in five of the season's first eight events.

2002 Outlook
What needs to be done: In 2002, Fisichella will re-join Jordan, the team he drove for in 1997. Last year, fellow Italian Jarno Trulli qualified well for Jordan. Next season, Fisichella will look to translate that quick car into consistently strong finishes.

Prediction: Behind the wheel of Eddie Jordan's cars, Fisichella has a good chance to finally break through with a win. Having finished second five times in his career, there is no one hungrier for a victory than Fisichella.
