Wednesday, June 13 Hamilton remains in Indy hospital Associated Press INDIANAPOLIS -- IRL driver Davey Hamilton was recovering Wednesday from surgery on his feet, which he seriously injured along with his legs in a wreck in Texas. Hamilton, in stable condition after the operation Tuesday night at Methodist Hospital, was injured on Lap 73 of Saturday night's Casino Magic 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. Hamilton, from Eagle, Idaho, suffered severe injuries to both of his legs and feet when his car hit the fence exiting Turn 2 in the 200-lap event. Doctors repaired bones in his right foot and other damage in his left foot, the IRL said. Hamilton also broke both legs in the crash. He still faces more operations on his feet, said Dr. Henry Bock, the IRL's director of medical services. In another accident during the race, Robby McGehee broke his lower left leg.
