Tuesday, January 15 Users: No sophomore slump for Giaffone We asked if Felipe Giaffone could avoid the sophomore slump and keep on rolling with Mo Nunn Racing. Here are some of the better responses:
Felipe is going to be a great champion someday and I watched him from the start of 2001 to the end of 2001 and he was awesome. He deserved that Rookie of the Year award. Julie Andrews Greenfield, Ind.
After watching the IRL closely last year, my opinion is that Felipe will definitely be one of the drivers to contend with. He is coming in with a team that knows how to get to the top and I expect he will be much more competitive this year. Sandra Douglass Columbus, Ohio
Giaffone is very brave. Brave enough he scares me. Jim Fahlstedt Reidsville, N.C.
I think he will avoid the sophomore slump. To say he may win one race in the 2002 season may be a conservitive figure, with the way he drove last year, and Mo having another year to work with him. When he was competive last year. He was very competive. Tom Linker Veedersburg, Ind.
Felipe was a favorite of mine last year and with the help of Mo he should be a force to be rekoned with week in and week out. One win is a little low, I predict three. Shannon Garner Greencastle, Ind. Send this story to a friend | Most sent stories
