Put the pedal to the metal in ESPN's Fantasy Racing 2002. Get your teams today! |
Monday, February 4 Users in Indiana show McGehee support ESPN.com We asked if Robby McGehee will bounce back from a sub-par 2001 season and if his team will find the necessary funding to run a full schedule. Here are some of the better responses:
I don't know if Robby will get the necessary funding to find the speed he needs but I can tell you if the money and security were there he would be a definite contender for the IRL title. In the year where Juan Montoya dominated Indy, Robby was right there with him even gaining every lap until his engine let go. This young guy has tons of potential and I have a feeling that we will see him in a very good situation in the near future. Joe Bell Indianapolis
Robby's a great driver, and all Cahill needs is the funding and a decent pit crew for McGehee to be consistently making finishes in the top-5. Adam Taylor Newburgh, Ind.
Robby is an awesome driver! He should be with a top notch team because he has shown he can run well with the teams with lots of money. He was going though the field at several races before problems to the car took him out this past season. He also had some great finishes. There is lots of team chemistry with the crew and Robby. You see the chemistry each weekend at the tracks. I hope Robby can race the whole season because he could do really well with the right equipment! Go Robby! Julie Andrews Greenfield, Ind.
Look for the Cahill group at Homestead. I know for a fact they will be there, but I have found out that due to funds they will be starting over again with rookie crew members. So as it looks to me you will see the same results as last year. Chris Coppack Browns, Ind.
I think Robby will bounce back this year. He's a very talented young man. He'll secure sponsorship for sure. Only thing keeping him back from winning is the funding. Trent Hammond Woodburn, Ind.
This team NEEDS to find sufficient sponsorship to run the entire season. Robby is a talented driver who deserves the chance to prove it on the race track. If sponsors are found, watch out for this team. They do know how to run up front! Sandra Douglass Columbus, Ohio
