Key Stat: After leading six of the nine IRL events while driving for Treadway Racing in 2000, McGehee and Cahill Racing led only two races this season for a total of 13 laps.

2002 Outlook
What needs to be done: The team suffers from a lack of sponsorship. After several years of paying for most of the operation out of his own pocket, owner Larry Cahill has decided to cut back on races unless funding can be found. At present the team plans to bypass the events leading up to the Indianapolis 500 in hopes that a good showing at the Brickyard can generate sufficient sponsorship to finish the remainder of the season.

Prediction: Despite the present plan to sit out Homestead, Fla., Phoenix, Fontana, Calif., and Nazareth, Pa., look for the Cahill entry to make the early races. Unfortunately, unless additional sponsorship is found, also look for more mid-level performances.
