The good: The stepson of IRL founder Tony George made his IndyCar debut at Chicago and charged from 16th to sixth before his first pit stop. He wound up 13th The bad: Didn't have much testing or running, and his team is not one of the elite. Key stat: Won three Infiniti Pro Series poles last year and the inaugural Pro Series race at Indianapolis.
2004 outlook Key change: Went from 400 to 750 horsepower and adapted nicely. Prediction: This 22-year-old USAC midget and sprint-car regular has some talent and isn't afraid to stand on the gas. Future looks bright.
