2002 recap
The good: Another "John Force" kind of season. Won the first race of the year and longest winless stretch was only six races, between Houston and Madison.

Season highlight: His 100th career victory came at the O'Reilly Spring Nationals in Houston.

The bad: Not much in this department, outside of the fact he wanted to see himself and team drivers Tony Pedregon and Gary Densham finish 1-2-3 in the points but Densham slipped to fourth behind Del Worsham.

Season lowlight: Nearly suffered a rare DNQ in Englishtown but did qualify ... a season-worst 15th.

Key stat: His three straight wins at Sonoma, Brainerd and Indy kept him out of everyone's reach -- everyone except teammate Tony Pedregon.

2003 outlook
What needs to be done: With Don Schumacher rounding up Whit Bazemore, Scotty Cannon and Gary Scelzi for his 2003 offensive, Force could move ahead with plans for a fourth car. Ford wants Mustangs to win and despite having three with Force, they are still heavily outnumbered by GM.

Prediction: After nearly winning the championship in '02, watch for Tony Pedregon to go after his boss with even greater determination next year. The Schumacher team will be formidable but Force's toughest competition may again come from his own address.

Your take
Will John Force win yet another championship in 2003? Will his toughest competition come from within his own team? Here are your thoughts on Force's prospects for the 2003 season.
