Fittipaldi

SAO PAULO, Brazil --Christian Fittipaldi won the Granja Viana 500 kart race Sunday, beating stars Juan Pablo Montoya, Jimmy Vasser, Alex Zanardi and Rubens Barrichelo.

The Fittipaldi Racing Team, anchored by the NASCAR driver, won the nearly 11-hour-long race at Granja Viana.

Zanardi, in just his second competitive race since losing both legs in a crash during a CART event two years ago, finished fourth with a team comprised of CART drivers Oriol Servia, Michel Jourdain Jr. and Vasser.

Barrichelo and Montoya, both Formula One drivers, finished 13th and 17th.

Nearly 70 teams participated in the seventh edition of the Granja Viana 500. The race -- one the most traditional karting events worldwide -- started Saturday night and finished Sunday morning.
