Stew Robinson
A guard for the Hoosiers from 1982-86, Robinson led Indiana in assists in the '84-'85 season. He helped take the Hoosiers to the NCCA Tourney three times, including the Sweet Sixteen in 1983 and 1984.
After working for an elevator manufacturing plant in Bloomington after his hoop days were well over, Robinson became the assistant coach at Plattsburgh State University.
Robinson's claim to fame might be that he was one of four starters, the others being Dan Dakich, Todd Meier and Steve Alford, that Knight benched against rival Illinois in the '84 season. The Illini were ranked top ten in the country before the game, but Knight chose to sit his starters for the entire game to prove a point. The Hoosiers lost by 20.
