| | Dear Diary,
Only a couple more days of training left until I leave for the U.S. Figure Skating Nationals. This is going to be a very exciting event. Many talented skaters are coming from all over the United States.
For these past few weeks, training has been hard. On the weekdays, I wake in the morning at around 7:00 a.m., eat breakfast and watch TV. That usually takes a half an hour.

Then I start getting ready for skating. My mom and I leave the house at around 8:00. We get to the rink at 8:20, and I stretch, run, and then I put on my skates, to skate from 9:00 to 11:15. Throughout that time I do programs, jump drills, spins and ballet on the ice two times a week and also have lessons with my freestyle coaches.
Two times a week I have off-ice training. I do weight training, flexibility, and also trampoline at a local Gold's Gym near the rink. I go and have lunch with my mom, and then come home to rest. From 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. I watch TV or study. Then I start preparing to go skate again. My dad takes me skating from 4:00-5:00.
Sometimes during the week after I skate my last session of the day I go to my tutor to get help with some of my schoolwork. On the weekends, my schedule is very similar, it's just that I skate all my freestyles in the afternoon. Since I recently started home schooling, my schedule has been more flexible for skating. Getting ready for Nationals was hard, but fun.
I hope all my hard work pays off this weekend!
Till next time,
Bye!
