FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) -- Chris Klein scored a pair of goals as the
Kansas City Wizards defeated the New England Revolution 4-2 on
Saturday.
Kansas City (6-5-6) ended a seven-game winless streak on the
road after scoring three second-half goals.
Klein scored his fourth goal of the season with a 12-yard drive
in the 12th minute by beating a pair of New England defenders.
Klein scored his second goal in the 64th minute.
Leo Cullen scored his second goal in three matches, tying it 1-1
in the 41st minute with a header off a cross from Jay Heaps for the
Revolution (6-10-1).
Kerry Zavagnin, who went 34 matches without a goal, scored out
of a scramble for Kansas City in the 55th minute. Nine minutes
later, Klein gave the Wizards a 3-1 lead.
New England's Alex Pineda Chacon scored in the 82nd minute,
converting a pass from Taylor Twellman. Two minutes later, Dario
Fabbro scored his fifth goal, converting a rebounded shot by Chris
Brown.
Kansas City played without leading scorer Preki, on personal
business in Yugoslavia, while New England defender Carlos Llamosa
left the game because of a pulled groin in the 37th minute.
