DENVER (AP) -- Chris Henderson and Chris Carrieri each had a goal
and an assist as the Colorado Rapids defeated the Columbus Crew 2-1
Saturday night.
Carrieri scored his ninth goal of the season in the 57th minute.
Henderson's goal, his 10th, came in the 64th minute.
Columbus scored in the 85th minute when Edson Buddle took a pass
from Chad McCarty across the middle, splitting the defenders, and
blasted a shot past David Kramer.
Kramer finished with four saves for Colorado (10-9-3). Tom
Presthus had eight for Columbus (8-10-4).
Colorado scored on its first two shots of the second half.
Columbus squandered three opportunities in the first half, shooting
high each time.
