DALLAS (AP) -- Bobby Rhine scored in the sixth minute of overtime, leading the Dallas Burn to a 1-0 win over the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday night.

Eight seconds after the teams changed sides in the extra period, Jason Kreis fed the ball to Rhine, who put a low shot past Galaxy goalie Kevin Hartman for the Burn (11-6-7), who moved into second place in the Western Conference one point ahead of Los Angeles (12-9-3). The Galaxy could have clinched a playoff berth with a win.

Dallas outshot Los Angeles 13-3, but Hartman made 10 saves. In the first half, Dallas had seven shots on goal to Los Angeles' two.
