Atletico Madrid left-back Filipe Luis has been sidelined with a thigh injury, the Spanish club have announced.
Luis, 31, sustained the injury during Atletico training on Wednesday and had to depart the session.
The Brazil international underwent tests on his thigh on Thursday, although it is not yet known how long he will be out for.
"Filipe Luis suffers a grade II muscle injury of the semimembranosus muscle of the back of the left thigh," an Atletico statement read.
"Our player, who had to leave this Wednesday's training due to discomfort, underwent medical tests this Thursday in the Fremap Majadahonda Clinic.
"The Brazilian international will begin a physical therapy treatment with alternative training. He is pending evolution."
The injury will come as a blow to Atletico coach Diego Simeone, with Luis having played in 18 of the club's 20 matches in all competitions this season.
