FA Cup semifinal

PREDICTION: A 2-1 win for Villa
FANTASY PICK: Raheem Sterling
KEY STAT: Liverpool have won the last six FA Cup meetings with Aston Villa in a row, without conceding a single goal.

Liverpool duo Martin Skrtel and Steven Gerrard both return from suspension. However, only the Slovakian centre-back is likely to regain his place in the starting line-up as Gerrard has played just 27 minutes of football since February 10 because of injury and a three-match ban. Striker Daniel Sturridge is a doubt with a hip problem but fellow forward Mario Balotelli trained this week after a three-match absence through illness and injury. Jordon Ibe is cup-tied.

Provisional squad: Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Lovren, Henderson, Allen, Lucas, Moreno, Coutinho, Markovic, Sterling, Jones, Toure, Johnson, Manquillo, Enrique, Brannagan, Balotelli, Borini, Lambert.

Shay Given will start Aston Villa's FA Cup semifinal with Liverpool, boss Tim Sherwood has confirmed. Carlos Sanchez is suspended while Gabriel Agbonlahor will be assessed as he continues to struggle with a hamstring injury. Ciaran Clark is out with a knee injury with Alan Hutton also sidelined with an ankle problem but Scott Sinclair and Ashley Westwood have recovered from their own hamstring issues.

Provisional squad: Guzan, Given, Lowton, Bacuna, Vlaar, Baker, Senderos, Okore, Cissokho, Richardson, Delph, Westwood, Sinclair, Cleverley, Grealish, Cole, N'Zogbia, Benteke, Agbonlahor, Weimann.

Sunday's matches

PREDICTION: A 2-2 draw
FANTASY PICK: Sergio Aguero
KEY STAT: If the season had started on Boxing Day, West Ham would be only one point clear of the relegation zone; Man City would be ninth, 17 points behind leaders Arsenal.

Captain Vincent Kompany and striker Wilfried Bony are among Manchester City's injury problems. Defender Kompany (groin) could miss the rest of the season while Bony (ankle/knee) faces at least another week on the sidelines. Midfielder James Milner (knee), defender Gael Clichy (groin) and striker Stevan Jovetic are also ruled out this weekend.

Provisional squad: Hart, Caballero, Zabaleta, Sagna, Demichelis, Mangala, Boyata, Kolarov, Navas, Silva, Nasri, Toure, Fernando, Fernandinho, Toure, Lampard, Aguero, Dzeko.

West Ham will be without striker Diafra Sakho because of a thigh strain. Forward Enner Valencia, though, is available after a minor foot problem picked up on his return from injury against Stoke last weekend. Defender James Tomkins (shoulder) and striker Andy Carroll (knee) remain sidelined.

Provisional squad: Adrian, Jenkinson, Collins, Reid, Cresswell, Noble, Downing, Noble, Song, Kouyate, Nolan, Cole, Jaaskelainen, Amalfitano, Nene, Demel, O'Brien, Jarvis, Valencia.

PREDICTION: A 3-0 win for Spurs
KEY STAT: Newcastle have lost just one of their last eight PL home games against Spurs (W5 D2 L1), but this defeat came last season.

Newcastle skipper Fabricio Coloccini will return to the squad. The Argentinian has served a three-match ban, although Moussa Sissoko will sit out the next two games after his red card in Monday's defeat at Liverpool. The midfielder joins striker Papiss Cisse on the sidelines as he completes the fifth instalment of his seven-match suspension. It remains to be seen whether or not Siem de Jong is included in the squad for the first time since August after playing 45 minutes for the under-21s in midweek following his return from a collapsed lung but fellow midfielder Rolando Aarons is still out after suffering a reaction to stepping up training following a long-term hamstring problem.

Provisional squad: Krul, Elliot, Janmaat, Coloccini, Williamson, R Taylor, Satka, Sterry, Abeid, Anita, Colback, Gouffran, Cabella, Ameobi, Obertan, Gutierrez, Kemen, Riviere, Perez, Armstrong.

Kyle Walker and Hugo Lloris will be assessed. The pair were absent against Aston Villa last week through foot and knee injuries respectively, but Mauricio Pochettino says they are close to a return. The Spurs head coach has several other doubts, but would not give the name of those players. Jan Vertonghen missed the defeat to Villa with a virus.

Provisional squad: Lloris, Vorm, Friedel, Walker, Yedlin, Chiriches, Kaboul, Dier, Vertonghen, Rose, Davies, Bentaleb, Paulinho, Mason, Stambouli, Dembele, Eriksen, Townsend, Lamela, Chadli, Kane, Adebayor, Soldado.
