Belgium's streak of 8 wins in the group stage came to an end with this loss to Morocco.
This is the first direct free kick goal that Thibaut Courtois has allowed in a competitive match with Belgium since 2013 (vs Serbia.)

Davies' goal came in the 2nd minute of the match, after 68 seconds, making it the fastest goal at the 2022 World Cup. It was fastest goal in a group stage match at the World Cup since Clint Dempsey scored after 29 seconds against Ghana in 2014.

Spain 1 -1 Germany
Germany have gone without a win in their first two World Cup matches for the first time since 1938.

Costa Rica's victory against Japan saw the fewest touches in the opposition box (2) for a winning side in a World Cup match on record (since 1966).
Keysher Fuller's goal in the 81st minute was Costa Rica's latest go-ahead goal since Hernan Medford in the 88' vs Sweden in 1990. It's also his first World Cup goal.
