Can Chelsea book Champions League knockout spot at Valencia?

A loss for the column over the weekend with the decision by VAR to rule out Raheem Sterling's injury time strike for Manchester City against Chelsea ultimately proving costly. The Champions League returns this week and both Chelsea and Liverpool face big tests in the shape of Valencia and Napoli respectively.

Running total: +£36.12

The Banker

Chelsea travel to the Mestalla for a crunch Group H clash against Valencia on Wednesday. Los Che beat the Blues 1-0 at Stamford Bridge earlier this season but Chelsea have rebounded well and know a win by two goals here would guarantee their progress to the next phase.

Frank Lampard's side gave a good account of themselves against Manchester City at the weekend, and before that 2-1 reverse at the Etihad had won seven consecutive matches away from home. They start as 23/20 favourites with the bookies to beat a Valencia side whose form has been quite erratic this season (they are tenth in La Liga and lost 2-1 to Real Betis on Saturday).

With N'Golo Kante fit again, and Tammy Abraham continuing to impress up front we think Chelsea can claim a win in Spain that would see them take charge of Group H.

Selection: £5 on Chelsea to win at 23/20 with bet365.

The Tasty Treble

Juventus can lock up Group D by beating Atletico Madrid on Tuesday and the Old Lady look a tasty price at 11/10 to win in Turin. Juve have collected 10 points from their four fixtures to date, and enter this match off the back of five straight wins in all competitions.

Elsewhere, both teams to score when Barcelona face Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday looks a lock at 4/7. Both teams have struggled to keep clean sheets this season, with Dortmund involved in a quite crazy game with Padeborn on Friday night. Jadon Sancho scored one goal and assisted another as Dortmund came back from three goals down to draw 3-3, but defensively they looked all over the place and it will be interesting to see how they handle Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in the Camp Nou.

Finally add in Liverpool at 9/20 to beat Napoli. Jurgen Klopp's men know they will clinch Group E with a game to spare with a win at Anfield and with Mohamed Salah set to be fit they should be trusted to beat a Napoli side who've now gone five league matches without a win following Saturday's draw with AC Milan. The Champions League treble is paying better than 7/2 with bet365 and looks very solid.

Selection: £4 on the treble at 3.78/1 with bet365.

The Wildcard Tip

Real Madrid's Champions League campaign to this point has been something of a rollercoaster but they can join Paris Saint-Germain in the knockout stages when the two European giants meet at the Bernabeu on Tuesday.

Los Blancos did not exactly get off to the best of starts as they were hammered 3-0 at Paris Saint-Germain in their opener, before drawing 2-2 at home to Club Brugge. They've rebounded well since then however and are 13/10 favourites to win here.

Thomas Tuchel could start both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe together for the first time this season in Spain, but given Real Madrid's strong recent form a punt on Madrid winning and both teams scoring at 13/5 looks the way to go.

Selection: £2.50 on Real Madrid to win and both teams to score at 13/5 with bet365.
