The Banker

Liverpool are 11-10 outsiders to qualify for the Champions League quarterfinals as they look to turn around a 1-0 deficit against Atletico Madrid. The Reds slumped to a disappointing 1-0 defeat in the first leg in Spain three weeks ago and their recent form has been patchy. Back-to-back defeats against Watford and Chelsea threatened to take the gloss off what has been a magnificent season so far. However Jurgen Klopp's men got back to winning ways against Bournemouth on Saturday and the reigning European champions should be confident here.

Diego Simeone's men will surely try to stifle and frustrate again on Merseyside, and Liverpool will need to be patient if they don't grab an early goal. Having failed to score at the Estadio Metropolitano, an away goal could prove fatal so Klopp's men will have to be at their very best defensively. In truth this is not a vintage Atletico Madrid side. Los Colchoneros sit fifth in La Liga and drew 2-2 at home to Sevilla on Saturday. However they are past masters when it comes to game management and Simeone will have them right up for this.

The omens are good, however, if you are a Liverpool fan. The Reds have never lost a two-legged knockout tie since Klopp became manager. Nobody who witnessed it will ever forget how they clawed their way back from the precipice of elimination against Barcelona last season. They have a formidable record at Anfield and it's a truly special place on European nights. Liverpool are unbeaten in 25 European home games, a proud record stretching back to 2014 and at odds against they look a solid bet to qualify at the expense of Atleti.

Selection: £5 on Liverpool to qualify at 11-10 with bet365.

The Tasty Treble

Without their two best players in attack and leaking goals again at the back, it is hard to make a case for Tottenham turning their tie around against RB Leipzig. The Germans were rewarded for a bold and attacking display at White Hart Lane and could have won by a bigger margin. With Tottenham struggling for goals in the absence of Harry Kane, Leipzig could be worth a bet at 11/8 to beat Spurs by more than one goal.

Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund meet at Parc des Princes on Wednesday, and this is another tie very much in the balance. PSG have scored 28 goals in their last seven matches and their attack is capable of blowing teams away. However they are not as great defensively and will need to be on their guard against the likes of Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland. You can get 8/5 with bet365 for PSG winning and both teams scoring and that looks interesting in a game that should be end-to-end.

Add in Liverpool to qualify at 11-10 for a Champions League treble paying just short of 12-1.

Selection: £3 on the treble at 11.96-1 with bet365.

The Euro Wager

Wolves' Europa League round of 16 match against Olympiakos on Thursday is due to be played behind closed doors due to concerns over the spread of coronavirus. The Greek side knocked Arsenal out in the last round but Wolves have been excellent on their travels this season and Nuno Espirito Santo's men could be worth a bet here at 6-4. Wolves began this UEFA Europa League campaign in late July but look in good shape and can claim a crucial first leg advantage by winning in Greece.

Selection: £2 on Wolves to win at 6-4 with bet365.
