Brisbane Roar signs Brett Holman on a free transfer

Brisbane Roar have boosted their attacking stocks with the signing of Australia international Brett Holman.

The 32-year-old has been without a home since leaving U.A.E.-based Emirates Club earlier in the year and will add much-needed experience to John Aloisi's A-League side.

"Brett is a quality player and exactly what we are looking at bringing into the club," Aloisi said.

"His club and international careers have been played at the highest standard."

Holman played 63 times for the Socceroos, scoring nine goals -- including two at the 2010 World Cup -- before retiring from international football two years ago.
