Ze Ricardo has resigned as Flamengo manager, following a surprise 2-0 home defeat to Vitoria on Sunday in Rio de Janeiro.
It was the fourth straight game for the 46-year-old without a victory, including three losses and one draw. Assistant coach Cleber dos Santos has also left, and the duo had been at the helm of the club for just one year.
Flamengo currently sit fifth in the Brazilian first division table with 29 points, 18 behind league-leader Corinthians. Over 19 matches, the club have seven wins, eight draws and four losses with 27 goals scored and 19 against.
