Diego Maradona says his compatriot Mauro Icardi "doesn't exist" to him after his perceived betrayal of former Sampdoria teammate Maxi Lopez.
The Inter Milan forward is now married to Lopez's ex-wife Wanda Nara after the pair began a relationship while Icardi was Lopez's best friend, and he and Nara were still married.
The extra-marital affair and eventual break-down in the friendship between Icardi and Lopez has been a major source of gossip on both sides of the Atlantic and Maradona has now had his say on the issue, saying he cannot and will not forgive Icardi for what he did.
"For me, Icardi does not exist," Maradona told Argentinian Radio Metro.
"He could be the captain of the whole galaxy, but after what he did, I am a fan of Maxi Lopez. What he did is not something that you do.
"He fed him, let him into his own home and then this happens. People who don't have any values are already dead in my eyes."
Icardi and Nara, an Argentinian model, have one child together while Nara had three children with her former husband Lopez. The two Argentinian forwards were teammates at Sampdoria when the affair started.
