A Marseille fan was forced to watch his team in action in Sunday's Ligue 1 game at Strasbourg in his underwear after stewards ordered him to remove his club tracksuit.
Cyril, 21, who lives in nearby Mulhouse, took the opportunity to see Marseille in action, buying a ticket that placed him among the Strasbourg supporters.
However, he had to resort to fashioning a skirt with a cardigan and wear only a jacket on his upper body after stewards refused him entry to the Stade de la Meinau ahead of the game, which ended in a 3-3 draw, as he was wearing a Marseille tracksuit.
"The stewards told me I couldn't enter with a Marseille logo, supposedly because of a prefectural decision," Cyril told France Bleu Provence. "I said to them, 'Show me it.' They took me for an idiot.
Ce supporter de l'OM à côté de moi a donc été forcé à retirer son ensemble de l'OM et donc entrer torse nu et en caleçon au stade ! Honteux. pic.twitter.com/0Wu8bRYja7— Mathieu Lauricella (@LauricellaMatt) October 15, 2017
"I went to my car, got undressed. I just had my work top and a leather jacket. I was bare chested and in my underwear. I had the idea to make a skirt with my top, and they let me go into the stadium like that."
According to the newspaper, there is no such prefectural decision, leaving Cyril to consider making a complaint to police over the incident.
"It was humiliating, we don't have any freedom of expression," he said. "I was cold, I didn't feel good. I didn't go to work today [Monday] because of that."
