Ramos: Real Madrid relaxed up 1-0

Real Madrid's title hopes took a major blow after a settling for a draw on Wednesday night, but defender Sergio Ramos insisted Los Blancos will keep fighting as long as they have a chance to win.

Rigg: Night to forget

After a 1-1 draw away to Real Valladolid, Real are four points behind leaders Atletico Madrid and remain one behind second-place Barcelona with two rounds remaining.

There is hope for Real, however, as Atletico and Barcelona play each other on the final day of the season, ensuring at least one side will drop points. Real would lose the head-to-head tiebreakers against both of their title rivals.

Wednesday's draw was a huge point for relegation-threatened Real Valladolid, who moved out of the relegation zone, and Ramos, who scored Real's opener before Humberto Osorio equalised late on, faulted his side for underestimating their opponents.

"It's a pity because we've fought, but we relaxed a bit in the minutes at 1-0," he told reporters after the game.

"Against a team fighting against relegation you can't do that.

"I can't fault our attitude today, though. As long as it's mathematically possible [to win the title], Real Madrid will keep fighting."

Ramos made his 400th appearance for the club on Wednesday.
