Cristiano Ronaldo absent for Portugal in friendly against Italy

Cristiano Ronaldo will miss Portugal's international friendly against Italy on Tuesday in Geneva.

Ronaldo, 30, was in superb form for Portugal on Saturday as his hat trick secured a 3-2 win over Armenia to ensure his nation top Euro 2016 qualifying Group I.

But the Real Madrid star will be absent when Fernando Santos' side take on the Italians this week, as he has reportedly been allowed to leave for his vacation early.
