Maidstone and Halifax ended their National League campaigns with a goalless draw in a typical end-of-season affair at the Gallagher Stadium.
Connor Oliver tested home stopper Lee Worgan from outside the area, and Jai Reason fired over for Maidstone at the other end.
Halifax goalkeeper Sam Johnson was in tremendous form, producing a smart save to tip Tom Wraight's header over the crossbar.
In the second half, substitute Jack Paxman released fellow replacement Jamar Loza with an excellent through ball, but the latter's first touch deserted him and the chance was snuffed out by Johnson.
The Shaymen also spurned a late chance to win it from the penalty spot when Worgan plunged to stop Mike Fondop-Talom's effort.
