Roland Lamah scored the game's lone goal in the 59th minute as FC Dallas recorded a 1-0 victory over host Minnesota United FC on Friday night.

Minnesota United certainly had plenty of opportunities as they had a convincing 13-3 edge in corner kicks.

Lamah's goal came from a corner kick as Mosquera sent a cross toward the middle of the box. Lamah leaped high and hit a bullet header on goal that deflected off the hands of Shuttleworth and into the net.

The goal wasLamah's team-leading seventh of the season.

Minnesota United had a few chances to get the equalizer, the best two coming in the 82nd and 87th minutes.

The first of those chances came when midfielder Ibson received the ball directly in the center of the field at the top of the box. He drilled a right-footed shot at an open part of the net, but it went just wide of the right post.

Five minutes later, forward Mason Toye eluded two defenders and unleashed a right-footed blast that Gonzalez was able to get his hands on while being driven backward by the force of the shot.

Dallas had an opportunity in the 23rd minute as midfielder Victor Ulloa sent a right-footed free kick over the wall. But the ball headed toward Shuttleworth, who punched it out of the area.

Minnesota had two big chances in the 45th minute, but Gonzalez made saves on both. He first stopped a close-range left-footed shot by midfielder Rasmus Schuller, and then made the save on a right-footed shot by forward Darwin Quintero.

The Loons had another solid chance in the 51st minute, but forward Christian Ramirez sent a low right-footer just wide to the left.
