Zenit St Petersburg and Belgium midfielder Axel Witsel says he will be moving to Juventus sooner or later after his transfer to the Serie A champions fell through in the summer.
Witsel was already in Turin and had agreed terms and passed a medical before being called back to Russia as Zenit were unable to find a replacement on deadline day.
However, with just over six months to run on his contract, he says a move to Turin is inevitable.
"I will play for the Bianconeri," he said from Belgium's training camp, reports La Stampa. "It's just right now I don't know when that will be -- maybe it will already be in January, or perhaps in June."
Witsel, who will be available on a free transfer in the summer, says he does not have any influence over when the move will go through, insisting he is just focusing on his football.
"All I can do is play," he said. "I'm focused on the coming games and then we'll see what happens. It's nice to know that such an illustrious club is not giving up on me. Like I say, I will play for the Bianconeri, I just don't know when."
