Luis Enrique thinks Neymar will renew Barcelona deal amid Real Madrid links

Luis Enrique is confident that Neymar will renew his Barcelona contract despite speculation that Real Madrid and Manchester United are both interested in signing the Brazil captain.

Neymar's father sought to end continuing speculation the Barca star could move to Madrid by telling Cuatro last week: "We have no interest."

Neymar Sr. had already denied an Onda Cero report that he and his son met with representatives from Los Blancos while attending the 2015 Ballon d'Or ceremony earlier this month, with Man United also reported to have made an official January offer for the player.

Despite Neymar Sr. stressing his son was not planning on leaving the Camp Nou with three years left on his contract, the rumours have continued with Marca saying Madrid would sell one of Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo if they are able to complete a deal for Neymar.

But ahead of Barca's Copa del Rey quarterfinal second leg against Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday, Luis Enrique told reporters: "I think Neymar will end up renewing his contract."

Neymar missed Barca's 2-1 La Liga victory at Malaga on Saturday with a hamstring problem, but Luis Enrique confirmed the forward is fit to return to action against Athletic, saying: "It's fine. There is no risk to him. He has trained and is in perfect condition. "

Barca announced in September that they wanted to extend Neymar's contract, with the club's technical director, Robert Fernandez, saying talks to extend the 23-year-old's contract would soon begin.
