Spurs announced on Monday that the 27-year-old will complete his national service after initially receiving exemption as part of the national side that won gold at the 2018 Asian Games.
They also confirmed he will return to London in May.
A statement added that Son is nearing a full recovery after he underwent surgery for an arm injury that he sustained in the early stages of a 3-2 win over Aston Villa in February, a game in which he scored two goals, including the dramatic last-gasp winner.
While Son earned exemption from 21 months military service by winning gold at the 2018 Asian Games, he still has to complete a basic training period of three weeks and then perform 544 hours of community service by early 2023. According to reports in Seoul, Son will report for duty on the southern island of Jeju on April 20.
The Premier League has been suspended indefinitely after provisional plans to resume competitive fixtures at the beginning of May were abandoned last week. Organisers said that the league will only continue "when it is safe and appropriate to do so."
