Stuttgart's director of sport Robin Dutt has confirmed that Huub Stevens will not be remaining in charge of the club next season.
For the second season running, Stevens was appointed during the season, and once again he has succeeded in keeping them in the Bundesliga.
Armin Veh was appointed to succeed him at the end of last season and Stuttgart will soon present a new successor after Stevens made up his mind to leave.
"He told the rest of his coaching team a few weeks ago that he didn't want to carry on," Dutt told Sport1 television.
"He has fulfilled his mission here and we can only be grateful to him for that."
Former Leipzig coach Alexander Zorniger is expected to be appointed with a news conference called for Monday to unveil the new coach.
