West Ham striker Diafra Sakho ruled out for six weeks with thigh injury

West Ham United have confirmed that striker Diafra Sakho will be out for six weeks after suffering an injury at Manchester United on Sunday.

Sakho put the Hammers in front in a 1-1 draw but was taken off after 66 minutes with a thigh injury.

And the Londoners said on their official website that a scan carried out on Tuesday had revealed that he would be "out of contention for up to six weeks."

A statement said: "Everyone at West Ham United wishes him a speedy recovery and quick return to action."
