Because of a monster snowstorm hitting the Mid-Atlantic region, including Atlantic City, N.J., promoter Joe DeGuardia and the Tropicana Casino and Resort announced Friday they were postponing the boxing card scheduled for Saturday night.
The card was rescheduled for March 6 because of "major concern for the safety of traveling fans, fight participants and the general public welfare."
Tickets for the card will be honored March 6.
In the main event, welterweight contender Atlantic City's Shamone Alvarez (20-2, 11 KOs) was due to face Alexis Camacho (17-2, 16 KOs) of Austin, Texas, in a scheduled 10-round bout.
New York heavyweight brawler Vinny Maddalone (32-6, 23 KOs) was due to face Dominique Alexander (19-7-1, 9 KOs) of Topeka, Kan., in the eight-round co-feature.
