We've identified the top all-time quarterbacks for every NFL team, and asked our NFL Nation beat reporters -- and you, the fans -- to help us determine each signal-caller's place in franchise history.
What follows is the final ranking of the top quarterbacks in Pittsburgh Steelers history, both from our NFL Nation reporter and our final fan polling.
NFL Nation ranking:
1. Terry Bradshaw
3. Neil O'Donnell
4. Kordell Stewart
5. Bobby Layne
One of the NFL's best one-two quarterback combinations belongs in Pittsburgh, where Bradshaw and Roethlisberger wrote the blueprint for a combined six Super Bowl wins in eight tries. Roethlisberger owns several Steelers passing records and might pass Bradshaw in the hierarchy soon enough. But for now, Bradshaw's four Super Bowls to Big Ben's two gives him the slight edge overall. The rest of the top five gets more complicated. O'Donnell was 39-22 as a Steelers starter and guided the 1995 team to the Super Bowl, but will forever be remembered for his interceptions to Larry Brown in Super Bowl XXX. Stewart also had a winning record and boosted the profile of run-first quarterbacks, though he was erratic as a passer. Layne is a Hall of Famer, mostly because of his nine seasons with the Detroit Lions. He spent his final five seasons in Pittsburgh. -- Jeremy Fowler
