Rosset will likely take former champ's place

Associated Press

PARIS -- Goran Ivanisevic pulled out of the French Open on Tuesday with a foot injury.

The 2001 Wimbledon champion's spot in the field will be taken by Marc Rosset of Switzerland.

Ivanisevic had minor surgery last month to remove a piece of seashell from his left foot. He's also still working his way back from last year's shoulder operation.

The French Open starts May 26.
