UNCASVILLE, Conn. -- The Connecticut Sun say guard Anete Jekabsone-Zogota will undergo arthroscopic surgery on her right knee and be sidelined from two to four weeks.
Jekabsone-Zogota will have surgery Thursday to remove debris in the knee.
Jekabsone-Zogota, in her second year with the Sun, is averaging 9.3 points per game. She started the first 14 games of the season before experiencing discomfort in the knee during a game on June 27. Jekabsone-Zogota has already missed two games because of the injury.
The Sun (10-6) are in third place in the Eastern Conference.
