Danielle Robinson scores 10 in 4th, Stars snap 3-game skid
SAN ANTONIO -- Sophia Young-Malcolm scored 18 points, Danielle Robinson had 10 of her 16 points in the fourth quarter and San Antonio beat the Tulsa Shock 65-58 on Friday night to snap a three-game losing streak.
It was a close game throughout until Tulsa coach Fred Williams was ejected with 5:48 left in the fourth quarter after arguing with officials. Robinson made two free throws before the technical foul calls and two after for a 56-50 lead. She added a pullup jumper a minute later to cap San Antonio's 11-0 run.
Danielle Adams added 10 points for San Antonio (4-11) and Jayne Appel had nine rebounds and four blocks. Young-Malcolm and Robinson each grabbed seven rebounds as the Stars controlled the boards 44-35.
San Antonio snapped a three-game winless stretch against Tulsa in front of a season-best 9,080 fans.
Odyssey Sims scored 14 points and Riquna Williams added 10 for Tulsa (10-6). The guards combined for 7-of-31 shooting from the field as the Shock shot just 31 percent overall.
