MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Lynx have acquired guard Renee Montgomery from Seattle in a deal for injured guard Monica Wright.
The Lynx also received the Storm's 2016 second-round draft pick in the trade announced Monday.
Montgomery has career averages of 10.6 points, 3.2 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 23.8 minutes per game. The 5-foot-7 guard has played in 17 games for the Storm this season, including two starts, and she has averaged 7.1 points, 3.2 assists and 1.8 rebounds.
Montgomery was drafted by the Lynx in 2009. During her one season in Minnesota, she averaged 9.0 points, 2.1 assists and 1.9 rebounds.
Wright has career averages of 7.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists. The 5-foot-10 guard recently had arthroscopic surgery on her right knee.
