DeLisha Milton-Jones plays in 497th WNBA game, setting record

INDIANAPOLIS -- Atlanta forward DeLisha Milton-Jones broke the WNBA record for games played when she entered the Dream's 90-84 win against Indiana early in the second quarter Friday night.

It was the 497th game of Milton-Jones' career, breaking a tie with Tina Thompson.

The 40-year-old forward is in her 17th season and has persevered through a lot this year. She was waived earlier in the season by Atlanta -- the first time that has happened in her career. She was re-signed to a series of seven-day contracts before finally being picked up for the remainder of the season last week.

Milton-Jones had seven points, seven rebounds and three steals in 24 minutes. She has averaged 11.2 points per game in her career.
