No. 25 UNC empties bench in romp over Boston College

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Chay Shegog scored 16 points to lead No. 25 North Carolina to a 77-46 victory over Boston College on Wednesday night.

Krisa Gross and She'la White added 11 points apiece for the Tar Heels (15-5, 5-2 Atlantic Coast Conference).

Shayra Brown scored 17 points to lead Boston College (5-15, 0-7).

After North Carolina jumped to a 14-0 lead, Boston College cut the margin to nine points on four separate occasions but a She'la White's 3-pointer stretch the Tar Heels lead to 23-11. It also started a 9-0 run and North Carolina led by double digits the rest of the way.

The Tar Heels were up 36-16 at halftime and cruised down the stretch, emptying their bench and having 11 players score.
