Reshanda Gray nets 43, Brittany Boyd has triple-double in Cal's OT win
BERKELEY, Calif. -- Reshanda Gray set career highs by scoring 43 points and pulling down 16 rebounds, and Brittany Boyd recorded just the second triple-double in school history as No. 18 California beat Washington State 75-68 in overtime Thursday night.
Boyd scored eight of her 13 points in overtime, finishing with 11 assists and a career-high 14 rebounds. She made just two of 16 field goals.
Gray was 17-of-20 from the floor and recorded her seventh consecutive double-double. She has 14 on the season.
The two teams combined to attempt 159 field goals, including 90 by WSU -- the second most in program history. WSU attempted 103 field goals against St. Mary's in 2006. They also combined for 102 rebounds.
Tia Presley finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Shalie Dheensaw added 14 and 15 for WSU (15-14, 9-8 Pac-12), which made just two of 14 field goals in overtime.
