IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Melissa Dixon had five 3-pointers with 23 points, Bethany Doolittle had 11 points and 10 rebounds, and No. 22 Iowa beat Colorado 78-63 on Sunday.
Iowa (7-2) pushed ahead with an 11-2 run late in the second half, capped at 72-54 on Whitney Jennings' layup with 4:31 left.
The Hawkeyes took the lead for good, breaking a 17-all tie with a 7-0 run midway through the first. Colorado (6-2) pulled within 27-26, but Iowa rattled off six-straight and led 35-28 at the break.
Ally Disterhoft chipped in with 15 points and eight rebounds, and Samantha Logic finished with 10 points for Iowa. Dixon was 5 of 10 from 3-point range and Disterhoft was 2 of 3.
Jasmine Sborov led the Buffalos with 17 points and Jen Reese added 14. Sborov and Jamee Swan had 12 rebounds apiece.
