Saint Louis upsets No. 20 George Washington women 79-61

ST. LOUIS -- Denisha Womack scored 17 points and Saint Louis beat No. 20 George Washington 79-61 on Wednesday night to snap the Colonials' 19-game winning streak.

George Washington (21-3, 10-1) absorbed its first Atlantic 10 defeat and first loss since falling to then-No. 8 Maryland 75-55 on Nov. 22, 2014. It has a one-game lead in the conference.

Jamesia Price scored 15 points for the Billikens (12-12, 5-6) with Jenny Vliet, Sadie Stipanovich and Jackie Kemph adding 14 apiece. The Billikens made 11 of 19 from the arc for a season-high 57.9 percent against the nation's eighth-ranked 3-point defense.

It was Saint Louis' first win over a ranked opponent since defeating No. 20 DePaul 73-71 in overtime on Jan. 24, 2003.

Shannon Cranshaw had 12 points for Colonials, whose leading scorer, Jonquel Jones (15.7 ppg), failed to reach double figures for the first time, finishing with eight.

The Billikens never trailed and led by just three at halftime.
