WACO, Texas -- Texas forward Nneka Enemkpali injured her left knee while grabbing an offensive rebound for the eighth-ranked Longhorns in their 75-58 loss at No. 3 Baylor.
Enemkpali was in obvious pain, clutching her knee and crying out after falling awkwardly to the floor with 5:44 left in the first half of the top 10 matchup Monday night.
The 6-foot-1 senior is the leading scorer and rebounder for Texas.
After being tended on the floor for several minutes, Enemkpali was carried to the locker room. She came back to the Texas bench after halftime on crutches and where her left knee in a protective sleeve.
Following the game, coach Karen Aston said the extent of the injury wasn't known, "it's a concern of ours right now. ... She's going to be out for a little bit. I mean it was significant looking enough that I doubt she will be back tomorrow or the next day."
Enemkpali finished with two points and six rebounds in 12 minutes of action Monday.
