Top-five women's basketball matchup postponed as No. 3 NC State not able to play No. 2 Louisville until February 1

Sunday's women's basketball matchup between No. 2 Louisville and No. 3 NC State has been postponed and reschedued for Feb. 1 (7 p.m. ET, ESPN) as the Wolfpack remain in COVID-19 protocols.

The Cardinals (10-0) instead will host Florida State for a 3 p.m. ET tipoff Sunday (ESPN). Louisville will play visiting Boston College on Thursday.

NC State, which last played Jan. 3, went on pause Jan. 5 and has had four games postponed. The Wolfpack (10-0) are next scheduled to play at Florida State on Jan. 21.

The Wolfpack are one of two ranked ACC women's basketball programs, along with No. 24 Syracuse, currently paused for COVID-19 protocols. The Orange went on pause Dec. 27 and have not played since Dec. 20. They are scheduled to return to action Sunday against visiting Miami.

Syracuse will play Louisville on Jan. 1 (9 p.m. ET, ESPN2).
