INGLEWOOD, Calif. - Roman Reigns has done it again. After a tremendous match against Cody Rhodes, Reigns is leaving SoFi Stadium with the gold.
Reigns put his undisputed WWE Universal championship on the line Sunday against Cody Rhodes in the main event of the second night of WrestleMania. The match was physical, highly emotional and ended after Solo Sikoa interfered in the match. Sikoa was previously ejected from ringside, but managed to sneak back in and hit the Samoan Spike on Rhodes.
Reigns has now held the Universal title for 945 days, one of the longest runs with the top title in the modern era.
Rhodes has never won a WWE world title -- and neither has anyone in his storied family, including his father, the legend Dusty Rhodes. Rhodes earned the title shot by winning the Royal Rumble match in January and he was undefeated since returning to WWE in 2022.
There were no title changes on Night 2 as Bianca Belair defeated Asuka in the Raw women's championship match and Gunther outlasted Sheamus and Drew McIntyre to retain the Intercontinental championship.
