WINNIPEG, Manitoba (Ticker) -- Dave Dickenson threw an eight-yard touchdown pass to Allen Pitts in the third overtime as the Calgary Stampeders rallied for a 42-38 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Dickenson's winning toss came after Troy Westwood's third field goal of overtime, a 27-yarder, gave the Blue Bombers a 38-35 lead. Westwood and Mark McLaughlin traded field goals in the first two overtime possessions. Dickenson completed 30-of-48 passes for 375 yards and two TDs. He led a fourth-quarter comeback that saw the Stampeders erase a 29-14 deficit. Duane Forde ran two yards for a score before Dickenson hit Travis Moore with a 14-yard TD pass and Mark Boerigter with the tying conversion witth 3:04 left in regulation. Winnipeg broke open a 14-14 halftime tie with 15 unanswered points in the third quarter. After a single, George Jones had a one-yard run and Milt Stegall caught a 75-yard touchdown pass from Kerwin Bell, who was 26-of-39 for 337 yards and two scores. Pitts caught eight passes for 119 yards for Calgary (2-0). Stegall had seven catches for 171 yards and two scores for Winnipeg (0-2).
