EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- Ronald Williams rushed for 80 yards and a pair of short touchdowns and Danny McManus passed for 315 yards and a score as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats bounced back with a 28-21 victory over the Edmonton Eskimos. Williams, who had 20 carries, put Hamilton (1-1) ahead for good, 21-14, with a two-yard TD on the final play of the third quarter. He went in from the 1-yard line early in the final period to stretch the lead to 14 points. McManus completed 21-of-34 passes with an interception, finding Darren Flutie for a 10-yard touchdown to spark an 11-point second quarter. Flutie was McManus' favorite target with six receptions for 97 yards. The Tiger-Cats were coming off a season-opening 33-26 overtime loss to B.C. in which they blew a six-point lead in the final two minutes of regulation. Sean Fleming accounted for 15 points for Edmonton with four field goals, two singles and an extra point. Dan Crowley was 15-for-32 for 242 yards with an interception and was sacked three times for the Eskimos. But he threw a 23-yard scoring strike to Edward Hervey with 6:19 remaining that pulled them within 28-21. Edmonton (0-2) had three possessions as it tried for the tying TD but never was able to crack midfield. The Eskimos have lost four straight dating to last season.
