EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- Henry Burris threw for 311 yards and three touchdowns as the Saskathewan Roughriders pulled away early and held on for their first victory of the year, a 30-20 upset of the Edmonton Eskimos. Burris completed 17-of-32 passes and gave the Roughriders (1-6) the early lead when he found Eric Guilford with a three-yard scoring strike midway through the first quarter. Paul McCallum booted the first of three field goals less than two minutes into the second quarter and Burris hit Demetris Bendross with a 54-yard touchdown pass 3:55 into the second half to give Saskatchewan a 20-1 lead. Edmonton's Sean Fleming and McCallum exchanged third-quarter field goals before Burris sealed the win with a 12-yard TD pass to Bendross with three seconds remaining in the period. Eskimos signal-caller Nealon Green was 24-of-39 for 353 yards with two interceptions. He connected with Kez McCorvey on an 11-yard scoring pass as time expired. The Eskimos fell to 5-3.
